Filipe Lacerda Neto
Filipe Lacerda Neto is an architect, researcher and university lecturer. He studied at the University of Beira Interior (UBI), at the University of Lisbon (FA-UL), and at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM-UPM), where he finished the ‘Máster en Proyectos Arquitectónicos Avanzados’. He has carried out parallel research work centered on the analysis of Portuguese architecture and its relationship with the development of Rationalism in the 20th century in Western Europe. He is the author and co-author of several essays, articles, critical and scientific texts. He has delivered national and international conferences. He has worked in Portugal, Spain, Poland, Brazil and Mexico, collaborating on numerous architectural and urban projects. He was an assistant lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM-UPM) between 2015 and 2017 and a guest assistant lecturer at the University of Beira Interior (UBI) between 2014 and 2021. He was a visiting lecturer and guest critic at several foreign universities: Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSEM-UPM, 2016); Mackenzie Presbyterian University (FAU-UPM, 2017); Gdansk University of Technology (WA-GUT, 2018); University of Valladolid (ETSAVa, 2019); and at the University of Biskra (FST, 2019). He is currently a researcher at the University of Algarve (UAlg), where he is developing the project ‘INCULTUM – Visiting the margins: INnovative CULtural ToUrisM in European peripheries (https://incultum.eu)’. He is a collaborating member of the Center for Research in Architecture, Urbanism and Design (CIAUD-UBI), and founder of Lacerda Neto Atelier.
