
Giovani Salomão Teixeira
PhD student in Architecture at the University of Beira Interior (UBI), Portugal. Architect and Urban Planner, graduated from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), Brazil (2005), and holds a master’s degree focused on Building and Environmental Systems, emphasizing post-occupancy analysis, from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), Brazil (2014). From 2015 to 2020, he taught at Centro Universitário de Lavras in the Architecture and Urbanism program, offering courses such as Architectural Design, Acoustic Comfort, and Presentation Drawing. In 2018, he supervised an award-winning graduation project recognized by the Council of Architecture and Urbanism (CAUMG). At UFLA, he served as Director of Building Projects and Maintenance, Director of Projects and Inspection, and Acting Pro-Rector of Infrastructure. He led architects and engineers in expanding 120,000 square meters of campus facilities. In this period, UFLA became the world’s second university with the Blue University certification (2016) and Brazil’s second most sustainable university (2021). He also implemented the BIM system and oversaw the São Sebastião do Paraíso campus master plan. Co-owner of Pleds Arquitetura, he holds ISO 9001 certification in Quality Management. Founder of Urban Sketchers Lavras, during development period in the United States, he refined skills in graphic expression and photography
