Joana Forte
Born in Porto in 1987, she is an architect who graduated from the University of Beira Interior (UBI).
In 2017 she completed her master's degree with the theme “Scenography: A braid of many threads”, where she investigated the ramification of architecture, oriented towards a cinematographic context, interconnected and interpreted by the world of scenographic arts.
Before studying architecture, she completed other academic courses, but it was in the arts that she found her vocation. Over the last few years she has volunteered on multiple projects, she has also expanded her studies in various disciplines that complement and interconnect with architecture, from cinema, photography, image and scenography, in order to enrich her knowledge and the connection that exists between the most diverse areas.
She currently works as an architect, developing various types of projects ranging from large-scale to detailed objects. At the same time, in order to follow up on her master's dissertation, she is researching and developing her PhD at the University of Beira Interior under the title: “The dimensions of scenography. Perspectives of transformation and paradox in the understanding of the term as an architectural work", under the supervision of Professor Andreia Garcia (UBI).
