Luana Lobato
Native of Belém-Pará-Amazon-Brazil. Visual artist, teacher, and PhD student in Media Arts at the University of Beira Interior. Graduated in Visual Arts (UFPA/BR) and Chemistry (IFPA/BR). Completed a postgraduate degree in Knowledge and Practices in Visual Arts Teaching through the postgraduate program at Colégio Pedro II. Master's degree in Education, Culture, and Communication from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, where she was a scholarship recipient from the Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro, with a project linked to the Visual Studies Center in Urban Peripheries. Worked as a teacher at the Municipal Secretariat of Education and Culture of Belém/Brazil, teaching Arts and working on cultural and artistic projects. Was substitute teacher at UFRJ/BR and at Colégio Pedro II - both public educational institutions of the Federal Education Network of Brazil. Currently a collaborator at CIAUD and the Laboratory of Research in Arts and Shared Creation project, awarded the scientific employment prize by FCT. Research seeks to understand handmade photography in contrast to new media, the creation of shared creation methodologies, collaborative artistic processes, and debates about hybrid image in dialogue with contemporaneity and transformations of urban public space through post-photographic multimedia interventions.
