Mariana Martins
Porto, 1986. Master’s degree in architecture (University Lusíada do Porto, 2012). Enrolled on a PhD in Architecture at the University of Beira Interior (UBI), Covilhã, Portugal, in 2022, with thesis, in progress, focusing on architecture and urbanism, under guidance from Professor Doctor João Paulo Delgado (UBI) and Professor Doctor Rita Ochoa. Has been working in the areas of Architecture, Interior Design, and Construction Industry since 2013, having founded and managed two architecture studios since 2014 until now, working in several multinational companies and alongside other colleagues on several projects in all design and construction stages, as well as art tutoring for children or product design. She has also participated in several publications, namely focusing on construction systems – in “Invólucros Domésticos” by João Paulo Delgado – or even photography on the retrieval of the 70 years old archive of António Menéres. She is currently head of her own company specialized in interior carpentry, as well as in architectural practice and collaborator with two architects in Aveiro.
