
Rafaela Noro Grando
Rafaela Norogrando, Ph.D. in Design and Master in Social and Cultural Anthropology, is Assistant Professor and Mobility Coordinator at the University of Beira Interior. Dr. She has been a guest teacher at 4 other higher education institutions and participates in scientific committees of international congresses and scientific journals such as dObra[s], Iara, Acervo, ModaPalavra and The Design Journal. As a researcher Dr. Norogrando has already developed studies on exhibition design, museum, cultural heritage, identity and social contextualization publishing in international conferences, journals and book chapters. Still in contexts related to fashion as a social phenomenon, she organized the book "Moda, Música e Sentimento" (Fashion, Music and Feeling) In 2023 she was the first teacher with a team of students to represent Portugal at EuroFabrique - Workshop for creative collaboration with the participation of 18 art schools in Europe (France, Romania, Italy, Germany, Ungria and Portugal). As a designer she has one of her works inserted in the heritage collection of the National Costume Museum (PT) and her most relevant professional performance was in the footwear industry in Brazil. Norogrando trained new designers, coordinated teams and participated in projects with external partners, such as The Campana Brothers, Zaha Hadid, Vivienne Westwood and others.
