Ricardo Senos
Ricardo Senos (Ílhavo, 1975) holds a degree in Architecture from the University Lusíada of Porto (1999), and has a master’s degree in Teaching Visual Arts from the University of Aveiro (2014). PhD Student in Department of Architecture, University Lusófona of Oporto, dedicating his investigation to single-family housing (2017).
Currently his, PhD student and external researcher at CIAUD – Center for Research in Architecture, Urbanism and Design (Covilhã Hub). His doctoral research starts from the opportunity to explore the exceptional architectural production resulting from less usual situations in the productive activity of the architect: the design of his own house. It question if a "home" design project "for" the architect, can generate also a theory of architecture parallel to the discipline in the act of designing. The thesis, “Architect’s House: A self-analysis”, is supervised by professor Edite Rosa (UBI).
In parallel, Ricardo Senos has been actively working with the mission of developing studies and projects of architecture, rehabilitation and urban design in the architecture studio M2.Senos- Arquitectos was founded in 2007, with special attention to the follow up of work, working closely with the client and the builder.
